Ghaziabad sits just east of Delhi in the National Capital Region, sharing much of the capital’s monsoon timing and intensity between July and September. As one of the fastest-urbanizing parts of the NCR, construction has often outpaced drainage planning, and short, intense monsoon cloudbursts can produce rapid waterlogging on arterial roads connecting the city to Delhi.
