Live Rain Radar for Paphos, Paphos District

← Paphos District, Cyprus

Paphos, on Cyprus’s southwestern coast, receives around 450 mm (about 18 inches) of rain a year, slightly more than the eastern part of the island thanks to its exposure to weather systems moving in from the west, with the wet season concentrated in winter. The surrounding hills can intensify occasional winter storms, sometimes producing localized flash flooding in the seasonal riverbeds that are dry for much of the year. As a major tourist destination, sudden weather shifts matter for the local seasonal economy. Because the dry season here is so pronounced, radar tracking during the wetter months is a genuinely practical tool. Cyprus’s Department of Meteorology operates the national radar network.
