Live Rain Radar for Malolos, Central Luzon

← Central Luzon, Philippines

Malolos sits on Luzon, the part of the Philippines most directly exposed to the roughly 20 typhoons that cross the country each year, with the wettest months running from June through November and a peak in the southwest monsoon (habagat) season.

In Bulacan province, the city’s low-lying position near several rivers makes it sensitive to monsoon flooding. Typhoon Ketsana (locally Ondoy) in 2009 dropped a month’s worth of rain on Metro Manila in a single day, and the region remains highly attentive to both direct typhoon rainfall and the habagat monsoon rains it can enhance, with PAGASA’s radar network central to how the Philippines tracks approaching storms.
